Following
the success of his nostalgic hot rod book Richard John Neil
has completed work on a similar volume looking at Stock Saloons
and Superstox - again in the golden era of the 1970s - and
again with Tempus Publishing.
Superstox stars like Dave Pierce, Tony May, Neil Bee, John
and Alan Cayzer fought their way through from the back of
the grids week in, week out to entertain the crowds. As the
Superstox moved further away from their 'stock' car roots,
the Stock Saloons were introduced with drivers like Jeff Munn,
Conrad Self, Bob Studd, the Olding brothers, Pete Sheen and
Eddie George creating legend.
