19th August, Yarmouth, Derek Kisby Memorial
from Sayell Racing website...
Gordon Pooley raced for the first time this
season and took full honours at Spedeworth's Sunday night
meeting at Yarmouth with an emphatic hat trick of wins. On
a track that had a lot of damp on it Pooley took Andrew Hinch's
car to victory from the back of the blue grade to take what
is a new Derk Kisby Trophy into the bargian. "It was easy
- too easy really in the first two races," commented the ex-superstar
driver. "I built the car and it handles well," he added. Pooley,
who also won the memorial trophy in 1992, now looks to complete
a part built car for a full onslaught on next season's championship.
