7th May, Buxton, Bill Boarer Shield

Gary Granger made Buxton his own at the weekend - taking the first hat trick in the formula since September last year and the Bill Boarer Shield into the bargain. The racing was very close with the championship battle between Mark Hodges and Rob Sayell acutely obvious - Hodges appearing to be feeling the pressure, this illustrated by his throwing away a comfortable second in heat two by spinning whilst some 4 places clear of Sayell who'd been held up in traffic.

Heat One: 1st Gary Granger, 2nd Mark Hodges, 3rd Rob Sayell, 4th Neil Clarke, 5th Andrew Bilby, 6th Gary Jones, 7th Steve Piggins, 8th Andy Collins, 9th Rod Pashley, 10th James Walker, 11th Harry Nicklin, 12th Tim Barton.

Heat Two: 1st Gary Granger, 2nd Rob Sayell, 3rd Gary Jones, 4th Andrew Bilby, 5th Steve Piggins, 6th Neil Clarke, 7th Mark Hodges, 8th James Walker, 9th Rod Pashley, 10th Barry Goldsby, 11th Andy Collins, 12th Mike Worrall, 13th TimBarton.

Bill Boarer Shield: 1st Gary Granger, 2nd Rob Sayell, 3rd Neil Clarke, 4th Gary Jones, 5th Steve Piggins, 6th Andrew Bilby, 7th James Walker, 8th Tim Barton, 9th Mike Worrall.
