June was a relatively quite month for the
Midgets in Britain
with the main action taking part in Belgium
with the European Championship but June 7th did see the challenge
for the Bill Boarer Memorial Shield at Peterborough.
In the trophy race Stuart ‘Junior’ Haynes held onto the lead
despite fierce opposition from Gordon Pooley who collected
three second places thereby moving him to second in the George
Polley/Kent Cams Drivers Championship
