19th August 1990 - Peterborough -
Details from Midget News by Anne Sayell

What looked like being, our first wet meeting of the season turned out to be completely dry. The day belonged to David Shreeve who had his first hat trick of the season albeit from the blue grade. The day saw the maiden outing of Mick Bonner's new car driven by his son Gary. The car sports a CVH Ford engine on a Mini gearbox and the team experienced one or two of the usual teething, problems. When 'on song' however the car sounded remarkably like the old Scorpion of Mick's which took him to one championship after another. Graham Drake and Rod Pashley were attending their second race meeting with the Club and both scored points as did another newcomer, Roger Pooley. Unfortunately Rod Pashley's day came to a dramatic end when he caught the armco on the last bend of the third race whilst in fifth position. Rod was removed from the circuit in the ambulance as a precautionary measure and was soon released having been quite shaken.
