31st May - Posterholt - European Championship
Posterholt, Holland was the venue, with nominated
English drivers taken from the top of last years points Alf
Boarer, Geoff Hughes Jnr. and Alan Fretten, plus Mike Clements
and Hughes Snr. Boarer blew his engine, and a female German
driver knocked Clements off the track. Fretten had so much
power it pulled his tyres off, and the Hughes duo did best
with 7th and 8th places.
Results: 1st Jan Van Rengs (Holland) 2nd Willi
Thissen (Germany) 3rd Jan Schraets (Holland) 4th. Jan Litjeans
(Holland) 5th Jan Verberaki (Holland) 6th. Karl Kilianski
(Germany).
