Graham Hill Memorial Trophy Race: Gary Pollard
drew pole position and Basil Craske and Karl Kilianski the
rear of grid. Pollard started well and led 18 laps of the
30, but Malcolm Goodman despite his arm injuries came through
to second, closely followed by Craske, who passed him on lap
12 and finally took Pollard on lap 19 when he was held up
by back markers. Basil held on to win, and Kilianski was best
finisher of the German entry in fifth.
1st Basil Craske, 2nd Pollard, 3rd Goodman,
4th Hughes Jnr, 5th Kilianski
Race 2 German driver George Gimbell made a
quick start, but finished up in a pileup with Parker and Goodman,
and Craske lost it too handing the lead to Pollard.
1st Pollard 2nd Hughes Jnr, 3rd Hughes Snr.
Race 3 Gimbell again started well, followed
by Dermot McGivern, but Pollard again on good form and in
the lead on lap 11, where he stayed.
1st Pollard, 2nd Gimbell, 3rd Goodman.
