17th June, Wisbech,
Derek Kisby Trophy
Report from London Diary by Man on the Terrace
The Grand Prix Midgets were racing for the Derek Kisby Memorial
which is an annual event. A good field lined up for the trophy
race which was run over 25 laps. Fast moving Mick Bonner came
home in front of slow starter Basil Craske and steady Brian
Harding. The other Midget heats were won by Basil Craske and
Brian Harding with Bonner and Craske getting the second places.
The meeting was completed by a Superstox / Midget Helter Skelter
which was run to Hot Rod rules and produced an excellent finish
to a good meeting. Pete Waters in a Midget won the event and
Martin Brand was the first Superstox home.
