Sunday 27th October - Arlington
Report by 'Youth on the Terrace' from Spedeweek no 43

Youth on the terrace reports that the racing in all four formulae was excellent, with the Midgets providing some of the highlights - a nasty pile up into the fence by Frank Boyles in the first race, the lassooing by the track staff of Paul Daly's car which was stranded in the middle of the track, a fine win by Geoff Hughes in the first race and and great second by Geoff in the second race behind Paul Daly. The afternoon ended with an allcomers race for all formulae contested by two Hot Rods, the Midget of British Champion Derek Johnson and an assortment of six Superstox and six Stock Saloons. The Hot Rods, going in their normal direction, ran away from the front grid, with Tony Hatton winning, Derek Johnson went into the fence, and the Superstox headed by Bert Hawkins and Bill Bridges set about the Stock Saloons. It was an amusing and exciting end to the Arlington season.
