You know the Grand Prix Midgets were not at Ipswich - I think
they were down at Honiton but as yet cannot get any gen -
but several of them had their own championship racing when
they went to Germany to compete in the Grand Prix Midget European
Championship and came away with two of the top three places.
I remember last year hearing Frank Boyles complain he could
win the heats but never the final but this time it was different
for it was Frank who took the chequered flag for a great championship
win over Germany's Willie Thissen with Keith Fransella third.
Mick Bonner had bad luck, going out when well on his way to
victory.
