After quite a sleepless night travelling back from Wisbech, passing, several of the drivers who were also on the road to Ringwood, I finally made it in time to catch the first race for Midgets. What a race this turned out to be with a well deserved win for Glenn Baker (M43) followed in by Derek Johnson (M45), Rod Tanswell and Frank Boyles. The best race I have seen for some time.

Race two produced a win for Frank Boyles after Rod Tanswell had spun and never got going, again. I am not sure whether it was water from the radiator 1 saw on the track under Rod's car or tears! Second place went to Bill Boarer (M69) and third to Bob Elson, National Champ., who at last seems to have got the car going well.

Race three went to Rod Tanswell, closely followed by Frank Boyles, third place going, to Basil Craske, the only Anglian driver to make it to Ringwood. Well done Basil.

Now to our first meeting, at Arlington which should produce a large entry of cars after not having had a meeting for Midgets for a fortnight. You will see a few changes in the gradings for this meeting. Frank Boyles has a lead on Rod Tanswell and taken the silver helmet, the two other red grade drivers being Glenn Baker and Derek Johnson who make this grade for the first time. Congratulations to these two and keep up the good work. Top of the blue grade goes to Neil Thomas (M55) and Bill Boarer (M69) both with equal points.
