Jonathan Pooley has taken over the top spot in the latest points chart.

31 May - Swaffham Results

Malcolm Fozzy Foskett was the top points scorer over the meeting with two heat wins and second in the trophy race, but it was Daniel Pooley who came home with the 2017 East of England Championship. Congrats to Pete Gillett on his best result to date of third place in race two.

08 May - Clifford's Double

Clifford Bunn took a heat and final double as the Midgets raced into Birmingham Wheels on Saturday evening. Leon Smith won the second heat.

01 May - Dell Stickings

We are sorry to report the passing of Dell Stickings. Based in south London, Dell was one of a handful of Stock Car formula drivers who tried their hand at Spedeworth's Midget racing when it commenced in 1968. His stay in the formula only lasted a few months but he has the distinction of being the driver at the top of the first ever points chart on 11th May 1968. He won Midget races at Ipswich, Yarmouth, Wimbledon and Brands Hatch (right), dovetailing his racing with the then newly renamed Super Stock Cars. Dell first appears in the Stock Car entry lists back in 1963 which saw the first full season at his home track of Wimbledon Stadium. He quickly became a red graded driver and maintained that through to the end of the decade. He also represented London in the 1966 Team League races. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

03 April - Pooley and Young Tops at Swaffham...

The opening round of the 2017 Championship took place at Swaffham with an entry of 11 cars including new drivers Pete Gillett and oval legend Malcolm Foskett. A very warm welcome to both.

30 March - Yarmouth is now Swaffham...

Note from Clifford: "As I am sure many of you are aware that Coventry Stadium has closed its doors to racing. This has happened only after the fixtures were made. This has meant many of the tracks taking on extra formulae. To help out with this Inacarace/Spedeworth have asked us to step down from racing at Great Yarmouth on Sunday 16th April. In order to cause the least disruption the BOC have decided to move the meeting to Swaffham. The meeting will be held on the same day but at an earlier start time of 1pm. I hope you are still able to attend and on behalf of the BOC apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The car also proved effective in the hands of Tom Keep who was 2nd overall in the 2015 points championship.
